Bauereignis classic projects are on-site participatory projects dealing with the design of interior and exterior school spaces.
They involve three phases: goal-defining, planning, and building. Together with the users, ideas for the design are developed, ordered and illustrated in creative models. It´s from this pool of information and ideas that Bauereignis draws up a new architectural design matching the schoolchildren´s expectations. The final result is then discussed and evaluated by the pupils and pedagogues before being carried out during a joint building week. Families are frequently invited to come and help in the construction.
This approach generates acceptance and identification with the result and increases the project´s functional qualities. The complete design process enables the development of creative potential as well as the experience of participation and self-efficacy.
